Type RA(U-1) Silicon Carbide Heating Elements
Description: The RA(U-1),Door-like Type Silicon Carbide Heating Element shown here has the electrical characteristics of the ED(rod) element. The cold ends are attached perpendicular to the hot zone. The horizontal portion is the hot zone. The Door-like element is normally installed with the cold ends through the roof of the furnace. The extremities of the cold ends are metallized with aluminum to provide a low-resistance contact surface to which the electrical connections are made with flat braided aluminum straps.
